The Tok School junior high lady Wolverines have just completed their first weekend of home play against the Kenny Lake Hawks.
Friday the 13th was a good day for the jr. high lady Wolverines as both A and B teams handily beat the Hawks in straight games, and then had a sweet repeat performance on Valentine's Day!
Look for more information coming soon in this blog on the details and plays from these games.
The Booster Club would like to thank the Lana and Tony Peet for cooking and serving dinner on Friday and breakfast on Saturday for the visiting team - our visitors enjoyed chili dogs for dinner and some yummy breakfast burritos for breakfast - Thank you Peet family!
We would also like to thank those who helped out in concessions - Paula Bears and Norma Bearson lent a helping hand, as did some student workers; Jaycee Peet, Opal Mitchel, Rachel McQuillan, and Becca Watkins were a big help on Friday night, and on Saturday morning Cody Weisz and Andrew James were at school bright and early and ready to help with the selling. Thank you to all who helped!
Although there was a lot going on this weekend - a potlatch for a Tanacross elder who recently passed away, high school basketball gone to Ft. Yukon, and high school hockey at the State tournament in Wasilla, the junior high games still drew a small but enthusiastic crowd!
