Tok HS BBall Splits with Ft. Yukon

Fort Yukon splits

The Fort Yukon Eagles split a pair of games with the Tok Wolverines on Friday night in Fort Yukon.

The Eagles raced to a 67-51 win in the boys game, while Tok posted a 48-13 triumph in the girls contest.

Four players scored in double figures for the Fort Yukon boys, who thwarted a Tok comeback effort with a 19-7 run in the fourth quarter.

Shawn Peter led the Eagles with 25 points, Daniel James knocked down 16, James Roland had 14 and Jeremiah Alexander finished with 10.

Skylar Webb nailed seven 3-pointers and tallied 36 points for Tok. David Ervin added 10 points.

The Tok girls jumped out to an 11-0 lead in the first quarter and never looked back.

Tori Cronk led Tok with 13 points, while Daisy Morgan and Jordon Sanford tallied 10 apiece.

Kayleen Carroll had seven points for Fort Yukon and Pieradora Tremblay tallied the other six, all on free throws.
